This Namibia desert lodge is about 15 kilometres (9 miles) from its sister camp Kulala Desert Lodge, the difference being that this is a small tented camp. This Lodge in the Namibia desert is an ideal venue for small groups with their own guide or vehicle on a self-drive safari, as it has East African-style 'Meru' tents, with en-suite bathrooms and solar heated water.
At night the camp glows from the light of lanterns and from millions of stars, and the whole place takes on a magical charm. Desert adapted animals such as the magnificent-horned Oryx (also called Gemsbok) are often seen as well some rare species like Aardwolf spotted on night drives.
Your guide will tell you how these creatures manage to survive in a place where rainfall is extremely erratic and unpredictable, and evaporation is rapid.
