Swartfontein's cosy / unique living and dining room has an eclectic mix of antique Italian furniture, big leather couches, family portraits, ancient paintings and objects collected all over the world. There is a large library with more than 1,000 books in different languages on various subjects including wildlife, birds, nature conservation and African history.
This Namibia desert lodge is owned and managed by Silvia and Roberto Scarafia, a young and friendly Italian couple, in love with Africa. Their most vital commitment is to preserve the very fragile and sensitive eco-system of the Nature Reserve surrounding Swartfontein Guest Farm. English, French, Italian and Portuguese are fluently spoken at Swartfontein Guest Lodge.
