Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp, Okonjima Reserve Animal Rehabilitation Center, Namibia
|

Okonjima Africat Reserve has a choice of 2 camps, both of which are luxurious and give you a taste of Namibian hospitality.

Both camps give visitors an unrivalled experience in a wildlife reserve dedicated to 2 of Africa's most beautiful cats; Leopard and Cheetah. The heat of the day can be relieved by a dip in the refreshing swimming pool, and game drives and excursions commence in the cool of late afternoon.
Okonjima has a villa, a bush suite and 2 camps; main camp and the luxury bush camp. Okonjima Main Camp was the original family farmhouse, and has 10 comfortable double rooms and a rustic dining area, all overlooking the original lush garden and open-fire, where everybody gathers in the evening.
The luxury bush camp has 8 chalets made from a unique combination of earthy Ochre, clay walls and khaki-green canvas, all under a thatched roof. Watch animals at the well-frequented waterhole. The extensive ‘camelthorn’ Lapa, encompasses the reception area and curio-shop, a cosy lounge with a rustic fire-place, the kitchen and dining area – all overlooking a waterhole.
Each chalet at this Namibia accommodation is equipped with a mini-bar, a private safe for valuables, a kettle for that early morning cup of tea or coffee and a telephone. For those who wish to feel the closeness of nature, the front 180º of canvas panelling may be rolled up, inviting you to enjoy your own ‘bushveld’ vista. In front of each chalet, a birdbath is visited by a variety of birds and small mammals.
You get an early morning snack, brunch is served between 09h30 and 10h30. Fresh fruit, as well as hot and cold refreshments, are available throughout the day and coffee, tea, cakes and savouries are served between 15h00 and 16h00. A gourmet three-course evening meal is served between 19h00 and 20h00. Any ‘special dietary requirements’ will be accommodated subject to prior notification.
Brunch is served after the morning trail, and replaces a conventional lunch. This is done to make full use of the cool morning hours. However, guests who would still like lunch may make a booking at reception. If guests plan to arrive at lunchtime, a light lunch is offered as part of full board for that day. NB! Please cancel lunch if you are not able to arrive in time.
