This Namibia lodge is situated on the banks of the Kwando River, in the Mudumu National Park. This allows the Lianshulu Lodge to offer a true African wilderness experience. The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh and open woodland, providing a home to an abundance of wildlife.
In a country often characterised as hot and dry, the East Caprivi's climate is more tropical than any of Namibia's other regions. It enjoys a higher rainfall and a warmer winter than the rest of the country, providing a home to plants, birds and animals that are unable to survive in more arid biomes.
Visitors can choose between 2, quite distinct seasons. The temperate and cooler months between April and October coincide with the dry period, during which time game might be somewhat more prolific. Rainfall is sporadic in the afternoons during the months of December to March, but nature now shows its lush and vibrant side, with bird watching being at its phenomenal best. Around 400 bird species have been recorded in the East Caprivi and include the Marsh Harrier, Bateleur Eagle, and Fish Eagle just to name a few.
This Namibia lodge is well known for its superb kitchen, which is managed by an acclaimed chef. Sumptuous meals include a full breakfast, lunch buffet and dinner by candle light, followed by liquors served around a flickering warm fire.
Child Policy: Children under the age of 12 years can not be accommodated.
